Fibras vegetales de uso artesanalLibroPara el Instituto Forestal es importante investigar sobre el estado del arte y las especies proveedoras de PFNM de importancia para Pueblos Indígenas a nivel nacional, considerando los tres ámbitos de la sustentabilidad y metodologías participativas que involucran a los recolectores y recolectoras. A través del programa “Productos Forestales no Madereros (PFNM) vinculados a pueblos indígenas”, pretende levantar, sistematizar y difundir el conocimiento que las diferentes etnias de nuestro país, poseen acerca del uso de las plantas y hongos que se desarrollan en las diferentes formaciones vegetales. Con este nuevo programa se pretende enriquecer el conocimiento en materia de PFNM vinculando el conocimiento etnobotánico y el conocimiento tradicional de quienes conviven con estos organismos con el conocimiento técnico de quienes investigan el uso y manejo de los recursos naturales. Tintes naturalesLibroEl presente documento tiene por objetivo compilar y exponer diversos aspectos del conocimiento acerca de los tintes naturales que provienen del bosque nativo chileno y que tradicionalmente han sido usados para teñir lana de oveja y de alpaca. La práctica de teñir lanas con tintes naturales se realiza desde tiempos prehispánicos, siendo un conocimiento resguardado por los diversos pueblos originarios a lo largo de nuestro país. Es un patrimonio cultural asociado al patrimonio natural de nuestros bosques, cargado de rituales y creatividad, que se traduce en dar color a los textiles y a través de ellos reflejar las características de cada territorio.
